The 257th is looking for Electric Guitar shredders … and you might be the one of them.
Here’s your opportunity to play before a live audience of over 30,000!
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. All electric guitarists between the ages of 21 – 35 years old are eligible to enter.
2. Send us a 90-second audio clip of your best rendition of “America” (Oh beautiful for spacious skies) by midnight December 31, 2011. Include your name, city and state in the body of the email. One entry per person.

3. Semi-Finalists will be selected to perform with members of the 257th Army Band rhythm section at a “playoff” at Hot Licks Guitar Shop in Waldorf, Maryland.
4. Song list for the Semi-final round will be sent via email February 1, 2012.
5. Finalists selected from the semi-final round will perform the solo electric guitar part to “Liberty” with backing track before an Army and guest artist judging panel (also at Hot Licks Guitar Shop).
6. Sheet music for “Liberty” will be sent to the finalists via email.

7. One of the 3 winners will perform “Liberty” before a live audience of over 30,000 people in July 2012.
